TAIWAN's Wan Hai Lines has just concluded an agreement with China's Cosco and Japan's "K" Line to operate a transpacific service from South China to the US Pacific coast named SEA service.
At the same time, Wan Hai Lines, will also be cooperating with "K" Line and Pacific International Lines (PIL) to operate a transpacific service from Central China to US Pacific coast, named CALCO-D service, the company, said the release.
The SEA service is expected to commence on May 10 with six 9,000 to 10,000-TEU ships, one by Wan Hai and three by Cosco and two by "K" Line.
The rotation of SEA service is Hong Kong, Shenzhen–Yantian, Long Beach, Shenzhen–Yantian and back to Hong Kong.
The CALCO-D service is also expected to commence on May 10 with six 5,500 to 6,000-TEU ships, two by Wan Hai and two by "K" Line, one by PIL and one, a shared vessel.
The rotation of CALCO-D service is Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Long Beach and back to Qingdao.
Together with that joint service, Wan Hai will enter into a slot swap with "K" Line on CALCO-B (CCB) service and Cosco on the CEN service.
The port rotation of CCB is Shanghai, Ningbo, Long Beach, Oakland, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and back to Shanghai.
The rotation of CEN is Xinggang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Prince Rupert, Long Beach, Oakland and back to Xinggang.
