Arkas has added a
36th ship to its
marine merchant
fleet in March, which is
currently Turkey’s largest
container fleet.
After refitting and overhauling processes which are carried out in Turkey, the ship will be ready for service by the end of April. The ship is renamed M/V Martha A.
She will carry Turkish flag. The 2474 TEU ship increased the total capacity of Arkas Merchant Marine Fleet to 55.659 TEU. 208 meters in length and 30 meters in width M/V Martha A is capable of carrying 320 reefer containers.
The new ship is sisters with M/V Vivien A and M/V Gülbeniz A, also in Arkas Merchant Fleet.
Arkas Line will deploy the ship on Turkey Levant Service
Arkas’ shipping company Arkas Line will deploy the ship on TSL (Turkey Levant Service) calling at Alexandria-Port Said-Beirut-MersinMarport-Kumport-Gemlik (Borusan)-Evyap-İzmirMersin-Alexandria. The ship is expected to begin service in June.
