ALL ships with armed guards coming into Egyptian Red Sea ports or transiting the Suez Canal must declare weapons onboard to the Safaga port authority, reports GAC Hot Port News.
Such weapons will be stored in the Safaga navy base at the same rates that are applied at the Suez facility.
"All security team embarkations and disembarkations shall continue to be conducted at Suez," said the report adding that the place of meeting is at 26.41.2 north/34.1.5 east.
All weapons and related equipment currently stored at Suez port police armory will be released upon request for vessels clearing the Suez Canal and heading south.
"In case of bad weather that the navy boat cannot approach a vessel at the Safaga meeting point, the vessel will be allowed to store weapons at Suez port," said the report.
