THE Maritime CIO (Corporation Information Officer) Forum will be held at the Hilton in Rotterdam for a one-day conference on November 18, its organisers Digital Ship have announced.
Following a successful first Maritime CIO Forum in June 2013, this second meeting is designed to build on the same topics.
It is also to be a meeting point where maritime IT leaders can share knowledge and collaborate with peers on strategic IT and communications and learn from other senior shipping professionals.
The conference will address the strategic and practical challenges that all shipping companies face.
These include how to drive business value, growth, increase efficiency and productivity, how to build a better case to foster innovation, gain internal support and buy-in and how to build platforms from which customers benefit.
This convention will also provide suppliers with an opportunity to hear from target customers and learn what business leaders believe needs to be done. With access to today's top IT decision makers.
Organisers want delegates to be chief information officers, chief technology officers, chief operation Officers and other senior business and technical executives.
Expected suppliers provide, ship-shore communications, software, data services, shipboard electronics, safety, navigation systems, control systems and power security technology.
