JAPANESE shipping giant NYK has again been included in CDP's Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), the company announced.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a UK organisation, which collects greenhouse gas emission data of major corporations.
NYK received a score of 99 out of 100 in the CDP's 2014 Climate Change Information Request, ranking in the top 10 per cent of Japan's 500 largest companies for a third consecutive year.
The CDP is an international non-profit organisation providing the only global system to measure, disclose, manage, and share vital environmental information.
The CDP harnesses the power of market forces, including 767 institutional investors with assets of US$92 trillion, to collect information from companies on their greenhouse gas emissions.
The CDP's annual information request was sent to the Japan 500 target companies asking the companies to measure and report data and information on climate change related issues affecting companies.
