Singapore's MPA checks health of ships from Ebola ports in last 21 days
THE Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore now requires all ships' crew who have been in the Ebola affected countries of Guinea, Liberia, Sierre Leone, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sengal in the last 21 days to submit a health declaration.
"As part of the measures to prevent the introduction of Ebola virus disease (EVD) into Singapore, this circular makes reference to the requirement of the National Environment Agency (Port Health Office) for all arriving vessels that have been to the Ebola affected countries to submit the Maritime Declaration of Health Form to the Port Health Office.
The order was signed by port master Daknash Ganasen.
