Hapag ups rate US$300/TEU Asia-India/Red Sea October 1, ups BAF, CAF
GERMANY's Hapag Lloyd has announced a rate increase of US$300 per TEU from Japan to the Indian subcontinent, the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf starting October 1.
The Indian subcontinent is defined as ports in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India. The Red Sea is defined as the ports of Jeddah, Aqaba, Sokhna, Port Sudan and Hodeidah.
The shipping line will also will amend the currency adjustment factor (CAF), bunker charges (BUC) or bunker adjustment factor (BAF) or bunker fuel factor (BFF) as well as the low sulphur charges (LSF), emergency bunker surcharges from/to Asia and Oceania effective October 1.
