Cosco to discuss plans for five 14,000-TEU ships and six bulkers
CHINA's biggest shipping line, Cosco, is to hold a shareholders' meeting on August 28 to discuss plans to order five 14,000-TEU ships and six 81,600 dwt bulkers after it returned to profit in fiscal 2013.
Before Cosco returned to profit, avoiding delisting in fiscal 2013, it postponed its fleet optimisation and disposed of eight old ships with plans to scrap another 41 vessels
So far Cosco had ordered 10 bulkers at two domestic shipyards and made a series of newbuild orders, reported Dalian's SinoShipNews.
