Greece: Navios Maritime Acquisition Takes Delivery of Nave Aquila

Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation, an owner and operator of tanker vessels, announced that the Nave Aquila, a new building MR2 product tanker vessel of 49,991 dwt, was delivered on November 9, 2012 from a South Korean shipyard.
SABIC Commissions Construction of Two LNG Powered Tankers

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has commissioned the construction of two sea going gas tankers powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to transport its olefins products, in anticipation of a European Union directive to drastically reduce sulphur emissions from vessels operating in the North Sea by 2015.

LNG Tanker Ob River Prepares for Northern Sea Route

On October 27th, the LNG tanker Ob River arrived at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal operated by Elengy, a GDF SUEZ subsidiary. The vessel, coming from the Pacific Ocean, is the first LNG carrier to transit the Northern Sea Route.
