The Republic of Georgia Unveils Plans for New Batumi Port

Royal Caribbean is expected to complete the port design in September 2012 and the construction will begin a month later. This project includes dredging of the harbor and overhaul of the existing Port of Batumi. The both ports will be handling all ships sailing in the Black Sea.

As RBC reports, the Republic of Georgia has unveiled its plans for a new Batumi port.

Royal Caribbean is expected to complete the port design in September 2012 and the construction will begin a month later.

This project includes dredging of the harbor and overhaul of the existing Port of Batumi. The both ports will be handling all ships sailing in the Black Sea.

The project value was not disclosed.
