Georgian supplier Wissol Bunkering installs Emerson flow meters

Georgian
bunker supplier JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia has announced that it has installed Emerson flowmeters on board its bunker delivery vessel "Wissol Bunkering".

JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia said that the digital flowmeters show actual temperature, density, kilogrammes and litres during the entire bunkering procedure. The data is then transferred electronically to port and customs authorities.

JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia launched its bunker supply operation under the "Wissol Bunkering" brand in March 2008. The company carries out deliveries of marine gasoil (MGO) at the Georgian ports of Batumi, Poti, Kulevi and Supsa. It also supplies marine lubricants as distributors of Total Lubmarine in Georgia.

JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia operates the largest network of petrol and compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Georgia. It is a leading company in the country's energy sector and markets its products through its sub-brands Wissol Bunkering, Wissol Petroleum, Wissol Gas, Air Wissol and Wissol Gas Distribution Company.

In a statement, JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia said "We are working hard to provide the most optimal and economic solutions for bunkering services in Black sea Georgian ports (Batumi, Poti, Kulevi, Supsa)." As part of its strategy, the company says that it aims to be able to provide a full range of both IFO and MGO fuels in the near future.

JSC Wissol Petroleum Georgia said that it has also started bunkering transit vessels at Poti anchorage area. The company pointed out that vessels travelling mainly from Turkish Black Sea ports and ships calling at the Russian port of Sochi tend to use bunker call services
at Poti anchorage.
