On 25th of October a signing of Memorandum of Understanding between FSUE âRosmorportâ and Cargotec JSC took place. The Memo was signed in presence of co-chairmen of intergovernmental economic cooperation committee â Sergey Ivanov, deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Alexander Stubb, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade of Finland.

âSigning of the Memorandum shows that Russia is interested in cooperation with Finnish companies connected with upgrading of equipment in sea ports. According to the Strategy of Russian Ports Marine Infrastructure Development, by the year 2030 we plan to double seaport capacities. Thatâs why collaboration with Finnish companies is an important step in the sphere developmentâ â emphasized Andrey Lavrischev during the official part.
Both parts consider the signing of the Memo to promote the development of transport and logistic cooperation between Russia and Finland, which can contribute to formation of anchored and effective Euro-Asian transport passage, including Northern Sea Route.
The signing is coincided with Finland Business Days in Russia and co-chairmen of intergovernmental economic cooperation committee meeting.
