BrunsbĂĽttel (rd) Dramatic minutes this morning on the same front BrunsbĂĽttel.

It was 6.42 clock, as a top Elbe pilot on the north-east of the harbor pilot boat on the MV "Cecilia" (flag of Antigua & Barbuda, length 116 meters, 4723 GT) crashed into the icy waters. The man was taken by the crew of the Lotsenversetzers out of the water, on the way to the Old Schleusenvorhafen but he collapsed due to hypothermia. Alerted by the ambulance, the man could be resuscitated in Schleusenvorhafen. By means of its aerial ladder brought the forces of the injured firefighters BrunsbĂĽtteler disembark. As the water police announced in the afternoon, the Elbe pilot is in the ICU of the Hospital of West Coast BrunsbĂĽttel. His state designated a spokesperson as "critical".

The motor vessel "Cilicia" is loaded with fertilizer on the journey from BĂĽtzfleth to Dunkirk. The accident investigation by the Water Police, the ship was on the north-east harbor to anchor. The flood control police investigations aboard the freighter had been completed, allowing the bulk carriers continue its journey towards the destination port.

So far there is no evidence for an external reason. Why the pilot to exceed the prepared VersetzbĂĽhne not used, but chose the direct route through the pilot ladder was expelled, not currently clear. Apparently the victim had been wearing no safety vest. The investigation by the Water Police are continuing.
