Azerbaijan cuts oil exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan

According to 1news.az reports with reference to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan ( SOCAR ), as compared with January-June 2011 exports fell by 1.979 million tons.

Russia’s Lukoil is considering shipping Kazakhstani oil through the partly Kazakhstani-owned Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), rbcdaily.ru reported October 5.

Lukoil is considering four routes: the CPC, oil tankers to the Lukoil Volgograd refinery, the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.

Iraq has resumed crude oil flow from the Kirkuk oil fields to Turkey's Mediterranean port of Ceyhan more than a day after it was halted by an explosion on the Turkish leg of the pipeline, but at a reduced rate, a Middle East shipping agent said Thursday.
