Russian shipping company Palmali transported in the first half of this year 2,353,430 tons of petroleum products. During winter navigation the cargo was shipped from estuarial ports, including 1,541,239 tons that were carried by rivers, the company said. The company’s fleet of 60 vessels (total capacity of nearly 400,000 tons) was transporting the cargo from the ports of Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan), Astrakhan, Oktyabrsk (Samara region), Nikolayevsk (Volgograd Region), Volgograd, Rostov, Taganrog to the ports of Kavkaz, Kerch and other ports of the Black, Marmara and Mediterranean seas.

Total volume of oil products carried via Russia's Inland Waterways (Volga-Don, Azov-Don basins) by the shipping company in 2010 exceeded 4.5 million tons.

In 2010, Palmali commenced transportation of crude oil from the commissioned marine terminal “Y. Korchagin" in the northern Caspian Sea.

Palmali Group specializes in liquid bulk transportation in the Mediterranean, Caspian and Black seas. The Group is the general carrier of oil companies SOCAR (Azerbaijan) and LUKOIL (Russia). The Group has been awarded long-term contracts for transportation of petroleum products from TNK-BP.
