Vale SA (VALE3) sold four of its 19 iron-ore mega ships to Asian companies, Valor Economico reported, citing a Vale official that it didn’t identify.

Vale SA (VALE3) sold four of its 19 iron-ore mega ships to Asian companies, Valor Economico reported, citing a Vale official that it didn’t identify.

The company plans to sell the remaining 15 vessels in 2012, the Sao Paulo-based newspaper said. The company’s board approved the strategy last week, Valor said.
