Hapag-Lloyd receives 13,200-TEUer, bound for G6 Asia-Europe Loop 4 service

GERMAN shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd has taken its first of ten 13,200 ships since it upgraded an earlier order of six 8,750 TEUers made in February 2008 and built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

GERMAN shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd has taken its first of ten 13,200 ships since it upgraded an earlier order of six 8,750 TEUers made in February 2008 and built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

The 13,200-TEU Hamburg Express is to deployed on the G6 Asia-Europe Loop 4 immediately. The remaining vessels are to be delivered over a 16 month period with the final vessel on line for third quarter 2013, reports Alphaliner.
