Arkas Line purchased 1,800 new 40 ft reefer containers. Chosen because of the low environmental impact of their energy class, these PrimeLINE® containers help to reduce carbon emissions.

As a company that operates regular shipping lines between ports in the Mediterranean and Black Sea, Arkas Line has now doubled its fleet of reefer containers with its recent “green” investment.

PrimeLINE® reefer containers made by Carrier Transicold are the most efficient and environmentally friendly units in their energy class, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 62,000 tons, which is equivalent to the carbon generated by 900 vehicles on the road today. Because they are able to minimize energy consumption, PrimeLINE® units have a smaller effect on global warming than reefer containers that are used currently.
