JAPAN's MOL plans has augmented its Far East-US east coast FE-USEC service through slots on the South China Express (SCE 2) service organised by Grand Alliance partners as well as Zim and Hyundai (HMM), reports Alphaliner.

MOL and HMM call it the New Savannah Express (NSE). The SCE 2/NSE was started in May to increase the Far East-US capacity for the peak season with the split of the SCE service into two loops. Zim provides four ships with NYK providing three and OOCL and HMM contributing one each in the nine-ship loop.

The service rotates through Busan, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shenzhen-Dachan Bay, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian, Balboa, Manzanillo (Panama), Kingston, Savannah, Charleston, Kingston, Manzanillo (Panama) and back to Busan.
