Georgian sailors will be protected by ILO's Maritime Labor Convention

From now on, sailors will be protected by maritime labor Convention. Work has already started on a document.  Convention is developing by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Maritime Administration.

According to experts, the more countries join the convention, the better it will work, and consequently, the work of seamen will be associated with less risk.

Seven Georgian sailors will fly from Odessa home today.

Rescued from 24-day captivity, they have already passed a medical examination.

All documents to be sent to Georgia is ready.

Mariners are also waiting for wages for four months.

Recall that the crew of a ship flying the Panamanian phage, among them seven citizens of Georgia spent 24 days locked in a cabin in intolerable conditions in the port of Odessa.
