Odfjell Orders Four Tankers from Hyundai Mipo (South Korea)

Odfjell has today signed a ship building contract with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard., Ltd for construction of four chemical tankers of 46,000 DWT design draft with 22 coated cargo tanks.

Odfjell has today signed a ship building contract with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard., Ltd for construction of four chemical tankers of 46,000 DWT design draft with 22 coated cargo tanks.

The new ships will have an eco-friendly design with less fuel consumption. Deliveries are scheduled between January and July 2014.

The contract price is close to USD 160 million. Odfjell has also signed an option agreement for additional four sister vessels, at the same prices.

The newbuildings will replace a number of old vessels the Company has recycled during recent years.
