Turkish Istanbul Shipyard receives Century International Quality Era Award

Istanbul Shipyard is granted Gold Award by Business Initiative Directions (BID) for its performance in innovation and economic results. BID, which based in Spain, is one of the most important organizations of the world that presents a quality award.

Istanbul Shipyard is honored by BID (Business Initiative Directions)’s Century International Quality Era Award in “GOLD” Category.

Istanbul Shipyard is granted Gold Award by Business Initiative Directions (BID) for its performance in innovation and economic results. BID, which based in Spain, is one of the most important organizations of the world that presents a quality award.

The award recognizes and encourages the contribution of companies and organizations to quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction as well as improving relations with employees, suppliers and all those associated with the company. The jury which designates the companies awarded has been formed by the leaders of those companies having received the award in previous years for their merits and contributions to quality and excellence in those companies. Istanbul Shipyard has reached the award step by step and has proven its performance and quality in international platform by its references -which are individually success stories on their own-, investments on R&D and infrastructure, ISO 9001 QMS,  OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 EMS practices.

On 11 March 2012, SNR Holding Chairman Mr. Ertan ƞENER, SNR Holding CEO Mr. Atilla ÇİFTÇİGÜZELİ and General Manager of Istanbul Shipyard Mr. Tayfur ARASLI have attended the ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. ÇİFTÇİGÜZELİ, who has collected Gold Quality Era Award from BID’s President Mr. Jose E. Prieto, has mentioned their ambition in the sector and said that they have proven their success with this expressive award.
