CSAV takes in 8,600-TEU reefer CSAV Traiguen on FE-WCSA loop
CHILE's Compania Sudamericana de Vapores (CSAV) has taken in charge the CSAV Traiguen, the second of four high reefer capacity wide-beam neo-panamaxes of 8,600 TEU ordered in April 2011 from the Daewoo's yard in Mangalia, Romania.
The ships are under eight-year charters from Zodiac Maritime with the CSAV Traiguen to join the Far East-west coast South America ACSA 1/ANDEX 1' service, run with MSC and CMA CGM.
The service is replacing the 8,411-TEU CSAV Taltal (formerly the Northern Juvenile), which will be redelivered to owner Norddeutsche Reederei H Schuldt, reports Alphaliner.
The CSAV Traiguen follows the CSAV Toconao, delivered in June, and will be followed by two more sister vessels, the CSAV Trancura in December with ownership transferred from Zodiac to EP Shipping as well as the CSAV Tyndall to be delivered in March.
