ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish military said that Turkish and U.S.military chiefs met and discussed military and regional issues in Ankara onFriday.Admiral Mike Mullen, the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS),paid a visit to Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Isik Kosaner in the Turkishcapital on Friday. Kosaner welcomed Mullen with full military honors at theTurkish military headquarters in Ankara. Their meeting was closed to press corps.In a statement posted on its website, Turkish military said that the meetingfocused on military and regional issues that armed forces of both countries wereinterested in.Earlier in the day, Turkey's foreign ministry spokesman said that Turkishgovernment was positive"in principle"on use of Turkish territory duringtransfer of non-combat U.S. equipment and technical materials as U.S. forces haveput an end to combat operations in Iraq.(TÇ-BRC)
