OTTAWA (A.A) - Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin saidFriday the unjust distribution of resources, food items being at the top of thelist, poses a threat to global peace and is a cause of many global problems.Mehmet Ali Sahin delivered remarks at a session titled"new paradigms forpeace and food safety"as part of the G-20 Parliament Speakers'meeting at theCanadian Parliament on Friday.The whole world must make efforts to help children who face hunger, thirstand poverty as of the moment of their birth, Sahin stressed.The priority of the international community must be to take urgent measuresso that food items reach the poorest parts of the world, Sahin said.Touching on the floods that hit Pakistan recently, Sahin said that thehumanity is now going through a test.In the face of such a tremendous disaster in Pakistan, I believe thatinternational organizations and all countries must be on the side of Pakistan andmake the necessary assistance, Sahin also said.(SOL-GC)
