LEFKOSA (A.A) - Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek onTuesday separately met with Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu and PrimeMinster Irsen Kucuk in Lefkosa.Speaking to reporters before his meetings, Simsek said Turkey had alwaysstood up for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)."The most important thing for us is that the TRNC proves successful in everyaspect and walks to the future strongly,"Simsek said.Simsek said the TRNC faced what he said"unfair embargoes,"adding thatefforts should be exerted to boost the country's profile at every internationalorganization.The Turkish minister said he was set to participate in"the SecondInternational Economy Conference,"which Simsek described as an important eventfor the promotion of the TRNC with the participation of senior economists fromaround the world.(İMB-CE)
