(DIP)TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTRY WELCOMES DENMARK'S DECISION TO OPEN CASEAGAINST MEDIA ORGAN SUPPORTING TERRORIST ORGANIZATION

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesdaywelcomed opening of a case in Denmark against media organs supporting terroristPKK organization.Foreign Ministry statement referred to a decision made by Copenhagen CityProsecutor's Office to open a case against Roj-TV and Mesopotamia TV andMesopotamia Broadcast Company on charges that they promoted and supported theactivities of the terrorist organization PKK.Foreign Ministry statement said Turkey welcomed the right decision of DanishGovernment, which is in line with its international obligations regarding fightagainst terrorism."At the end of the legal process, Turkey is expecting those broadcastingorgans, which provoked terrorism and use of violence, to be imposed to thesentence they deserved,"the statement said.(AY)
