(DIP)TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER DAVUTOGLU MEETS WITH GREEK DEPUTY FM DURACAS

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met onTuesday with Greek Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Dimitris Drucas.Duracas arrived in Ankara on Tuesday upon an invitation by Davutoglu towatch together Turkey-Greece basketball game played in the World BasketballChampionship.Diplomatic sources said Davutoglu and Duracas discussed bilateral relationsat the meeting which took place before the match.The parties also assessed what the two countries could do in the UN PlenarySession which would take place in the second half of September.Davutoglu and Duracas discussed the matters within the scope of the HighLevel Strategic Cooperation, which was signed during Turkish Prime Minister RecepTayyip Erdogan's visit to Athens in May, and the two parties also affirmed thatexploratory talks carried out between Turkey and Greece progressed positively.The two ministers also discussed the recent developments experienced in theBalkans.(AY)
