Crude shipments from Turkey’s Ceyhan total 1.36 brl

According to statistics unveiled by Botas International Limited (BIL), the operator of the Turkish section of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), from June 2, 2006 through February 1, 2012 the volume of crude oil exports through Ceyhan terminal has totaled 1.36 billion barrels, or 1769 oil tankers, 1news.az reported.

According to statistics unveiled by Botas International Limited (BIL), the operator of the Turkish section of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC), from June 2, 2006 through February 1, 2012 the volume of crude oil exports through Ceyhan terminal has totaled 1.36 billion barrels, or 1769 oil tankers, 1news.az reported.

The crude oil supplied through BTC and exported to the world market is extracted from "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" oil fields (ACG) and condensate from the gas-condensate field "Shakh-Deniz" based in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. Besides, after signing in July 2010 a new agreement some volumes of crude oil is supplied from Turkmenistan and Tengiz field in Kazakhstan. BTC capacity is 1.2 million brl/d.

The BTC Co. stockholders are: BP (30.1%); AzBTC (25,00%); Chevron (8.90%); StatoilHydro (8.71%); TPAO (6.53%); ENI (5.00%); Total (5.00%), Itochu (3.40%); INPEX (2.50%), ConocoPhillips (2,50%), and Hess (2.36%).
