The laid up coaster Dantic has been sold to a Norwegian buyer and is now underway to Kopervik in tow by the Danish tug Vitus.
Dantic, which has been laid up at Svendborg since October 2009 when C. J. Helt & Co signed for bankruptcy, has been sold to Sveholmen Shipping A/S, Sævelandsvik, for a sum of EUR 425,000.
Andrea Shipping A/S, Nakskov, has mediated the sale. The 1,113 DWT Dantic is built by Husumer Schiffswerft in 1981. The vessel was purchased by C. J. Helt & Co in 2007, and has been flying St. Vincent & Grenadines flag. Now only one ship is left in the fleet after the bankruptcy. That is Skantic, which still is laid up at Svendborg.
