SAM Electronics, an L-3 Communications company, together with its subsidiaries SAM Electronics Nederland and Lyngsø Marine will exhibit a wide range of solutions at this year's Europort Istanbul 2009. On its show location in Hall 10 Stand H12, SAM will display its type-approved new generation Multipilot 1100 multi-functional navigation system combining ARPA radar, ECDIS, conning and automatic steering control functions.

Available as desktop or console versions and combining navigation and collision avoidance operations within a single workstation, Multipilot 1100 provides a correlated view of planned and real situations for improved effectiveness and safety of all navigational tasks. Systems typically also form an integral part of SAM’s established series of NACOS integrated naviga-tion command systems featuring radar-controlled track-keeping.

Also featured will be the similarly type-approved Chartpilot 1100 ECDIS system developed for planning, navigation monitoring and conning station operations and designed for either desktop or console mounting.

Automation exhibits include the MCS 2200 integrated control assembly with newly-developed standardised modular workstations providing rapid acquisition, processing and display of data while also extending and simplifying all main ship operating functions.
Multipilot, Chartpilot and Automation exhibits are housed in award-winning design consoles.
