Smugglers Blamed for Deadly Australia Shipwreck

A coroner investigating the deaths of some 50 refugees killed in a shipwreck off Australia's remote west coast ruled Thursday that the people-smugglers and crew behind the trip were to blame.

M/Y Yogi, a 60-metre superyacht built in Turkish Proteksan, sank off the coast of Greece in bad weather today according to Superyacht Times. All onboard are reported to have been rescued by helicopters.

Another accident due to human error: The Maverick Dos fast ferry ran aground in the Balearic Islands last night at 7.55pm as it transported 21 passengers from Ibiza to Formentera. Captain Luis Gascón made sure all of his passengers and six crew members were evacuated to safety by coastguards before he would leave the ferry himself.

The Syrian-Owned ship Skymar Friday was anchored off Malamocco in the stand waiting to get in Marghera, loaded with 5,400 tons of silica sand.Because of strong winds over 30 knots failed to retrieve an anchor, ending at Chioggia, stuck in the so-called "peocèra" a mile and a half from the dam.
