Turkish freighter Gokay K ran aground in Kerch Strait
Vessel with cargo on board was
proceeding in Kerch Strait channel en route from Mariupol to Iskenderun,
Turkey, with pilot on board. For yet unknown reason vessel turned
starboard, stranded off channel, and ran aground in buoys 38 -40 area,

Loaded vessel followed from the port of Mariupol port of Iskenderun (Turkey), under Ukrainian pilot.Draught of the vessel was more than 7.5 meters.Going into the channel on the north side, and passed the crossing Crimea-Caucasus, the ship for unknown reasons, turned to the starboard side - to the Ukrainian bank.Between buoys 38 and â â 40, in the fortress of Eni-Kale, the ship ran aground.
Despite what has been lost about a meter precipitation of the bow, a couple of hours it has been released.Around 7 am freighter out of the channel to the south.Oil spill is not fixed.
Vessel refloated in several hours, local media
didnât report whether vessel was refloated by own means or with the help
