December 23 Turkish cargo ship «Gökay-K» ran aground in the Kerch Strait. The accident occurred about 3 am, in the northern part of the strait, reports Broadcasting Company "Breeze" .
Loaded vessel followed from the port of Mariupol port of Iskenderun (Turkey), under Ukrainian pilot. Draught of the vessel was more than 7.5 meters. Going into the channel on the north side, and passed the crossing Crimea-Caucasus, the ship for unknown reasons, turned to the starboard side - to the Ukrainian bank. Between buoys 38 and № № 40, in the fortress of Eni-Kale, the ship ran aground.
Despite what has been lost about a meter precipitation of the bow, a couple of hours it has been released.Around 7 am freighter out of the channel to the south. Oil spill is not fixed.
