Turkish Boxship CAFER DEDE still aground, containers on bow side being transferred

Turkish Boxship CAFER DEDE still aground, containers on bow side being transferred

Prior to the Greek island of Syros is the stranded freighter "Cafer Dede" to be recovered as quickly as possible.
Sunday, 20.Nov.2011, 12:54 (GMT+3)

Started the morning Wednesday, November 16, the transfer of container from the cargo ship which Cafer Dede before eight days had stranded on the rocks of Great Gialos . The container transported on floating crane next to the ship to the Cafer Dede to become lighter to start the process of detachment from the rocks.

According to reliable information after the autopsy was done by the divers on board, found very little damage because most of the bottom point of the grounding is sandy but also because this ship was built to specifications to "break" ice.
