Container crane collapsed onto Marajo

In the port of Antwerp a man was seriously injured in an accident when a container crane collapsed onto the "Marajo" in the morning of Aug 17, 2011 at 10 a.m.

In the port of Antwerp a man was seriously injured in an accident when a container crane collapsed onto the "Marajo" in the morning of Aug 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. The victim operated the crane at the firm Ancon at quay 604 when for an unknown cause the crane crashed onto the barge on which he was placing the containers. The worker fell from the cabin and was trapped under the crane. The Antwerp firefighters could rescue him from his predicament. He was seriously wounded and taken to hospital but his condition was stable.
