The "CMA CGM Libra" ran hard aground off the Chinese port Xiamen on May 18, 2011.

The "CMA CGM Libra" ran hard aground off the Chinese port Xiamen on May 18, 2011.

The grounding was very violent, and the ship is reported to have a list exceeding 10 degrees at high tide.

There has been no leakage of oil reported. The owners are in talks with Chinese officials to prepare a salvage plan.

The vessel is running in the FAL1 service between China and Western Europe.
