Dutch Freighter Arklow Resolve aground near Vordingborg

A Dutch coaster has gone aground at Vordingborg. Navy Operational Command has sent an environmental ship out to damming possible contamination.

A Dutch coaster has gone aground at Vordingborg. Navy Operational Command has sent an environmental ship out to damming possible contamination.

This morning is a Dutch coaster aground off Vordingborg. Navy Operational Command, Fleet, arrived on the spot.

- We have no idea how the ship ended up there. But now it firmly, says press officer Kenneth Nielsen from SOK to ekstrabladet.dk.

These are ship Arklow Resolve. SOK has not PARTICULAR creeps on the cargo ship bears.

SOK has sent the ship Marie Environmental forth to stem the possible contamination.

The ship is now being detained by the Maritime Authority.

SOK's environmental ship may curb pollution booms and pumping it into tanks.

UPDATE: The "Arklow Resolve" was refloated from its grounding site in the Masnedsund in the foremidday of Mar 31 by the tug "Storesund". The hull is now being surveyed by divers.
