On Feb 26, 2011, the "SBS Typhoon" hit the "VOS Scout" whilst alongside Aberdeen harbour. The "SBS Typhoon" allegedly tested their engines, but the vessel’s propeller pitch was engaged in such a way that she moved forward, thereby breaking all mooring lines, including those of the "VOS Scout". Considerable damage was sustained. The "VOS Scout" is actually berthed at Regent Quay in Aberdeen.
