Turkish-owned ship Ibrahim Bey grounded off Venezia
The "Ibrahim Bey" ran aground at the entrance of Choiggia port in the Venice area on Feb 9, 2015, while leaving the port. Several attempts to refloat vessel with the help of tugs failed. At 5 a.m. UTC on Feb 11 the vessel was still aground. It sailed from Venice Commercial Terminals on Feb 16 around 5 p.m., bound to Tenes, ETA Feb 23.

In recent days, there have been operations for lightening the load in order to allow the refloat the ship. With the aid of tugs the Ibrahin Bey was taken to the dock where being surveyed for any damage.
