Pasha sank in Narli after listing in Marmara Sea
On Sep 12, 2013, the "Pasha" issued a distress signal reporting a heavy list to starboard due to cargo shift which had started due to wave impact 4-5 degrees at 2.30 p.m.
The vessel was enroute from Istanbul to Casablanca with a cargo of ply wood and containers in the Marmara sea off Dardanelles. The lifeboat "Kiyı Emniyeti 6" and the tug "Kurtarma 9" were dispatched by the Dardanelles Vessel Trafic Center to the vessel which had a list of about 50 degrees. The crew of nine was safely taken off and the ship towed to Narlı Köyü.
At about 9 p.m. the ship capsized and sank at the quay of the village. The remaining container cargo slid from the deck. The half submerged wreck was surrounded by an oil boom and the salvage ship "Tahlisiye-2" sent to the sinking site.
