EGYPT's Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (STMT) that offers a wide range of educational programmes in addition to bachelor's and master's degrees has achieved a new milestone now that its programmes and lectures are being taught at Athens-based http://cityu.gr/en/the-college/.
The academy's president Ismail Abdel Ghafar said that the agreement signed with the college aims to pave the way for STMT Maritime Academic Programmes to be taught worldwide.
'The National Council for Education ESYP in Greece approved STMT's academic programmes. This has led to a protocol of cooperation signed between the academy and City Unity College,' said Prof Ghafar.
The importance of such agreement, he said, 'is offering our maritime academic programmes globally, and this is part of achieving STMT vision to be a world class university in maritime transport and higher education in compliance with the international standards of education, scientific research, innovation and training.'
Speaking of the academy's development plans and its new branch at New Alamein City, Egypt, Prof Ghafar said: 'The new branch will be a practical response in order to mobilise all energies in light of the knowledge-based economy and reinforce a culture of innovation and creativity to ensure economic growth sustainability.'
